The verdict

A much harder, short three-level Doom Eternal add-on with great visuals and brutal arenas. Skip it if you dislike long enemy-spam fights or enemies that force specific weapon mods.

Great for

Doom Eternal veterans who want a Plutonia-style extreme challenge and more story

Main risk

Long, cramped enemy-spam arenas and Spirit enemies make it exhausting for a short, pricey DLC

What players love

What players complain about

Spirits and gimmick enemies force specific weapons

Mentioned in ~1 in 4 negative reviews

“The whole DLC basically forces the microwave beam and sniper upon you, because they make it the only way to kill certain enemies.”
