How it works
We read the reviews so you don’t have to
Every page is built the same way, from real Steam reviews. Here’s exactly what happens — and what we do to keep it honest.
- 01
Collect
We take up to 300 reviews per game: half positive, half negative, so complaints don’t drown in praise. Some are the most helpful by Steam’s votes, some the most recent. English and Russian only.
- 02
Read
An AI model reads every review and groups what players praise and what they complain about into a short list of pros and cons.
- 03
Count
The model doesn’t invent percentages. For every point it lists which reviews mention it, and our code counts the share. That’s where “1 in 3 reviews” comes from.
- 04
Check the quotes
Every quote is matched against the original review text. If it isn’t there word for word, we throw it out. Each quote links to its source.
When pages update
When a game gets 20% more reviews since the last analysis, we rebuild its page. Fresh launches get rebuilt as bugs get fixed.
“Last 30 days” block
Appears only when recent reviews tell a different story from the overall picture — after a big patch, for example.
Minimum 100 reviews
Below that a summary would be random, so we wait. You can ask to be emailed when a page appears.
Independent
We’re not affiliated with Valve and no publisher pays for a page or a verdict. Reviews and game data come from the public Steam store.
