“It's like XCom with less polish, but with some better features. Namely, the free aim and that enemies don't activate in pods.”

A deep, flawed XCOM-like with excellent free-aim ballistics and limb targeting, but repetitive missions, sidegrade-only progression and geoscape busywork. Skip if you want XCOM-level polish.
Great for
XCOM fans who want deeper systems, free-aim shooting and build tinkering, ideally with the Terror from the Void mod
Main risk
Mid-to-late game turns into repetitive missions and geoscape micromanagement with weak, sidegrade-only progression
