The verdict

A visually impressive, exploration- and puzzle-heavy Tomb Raider with a great Lara and big levels, but a rough PC port with a bad camera, janky controls and physics bugs. Skip it if you hate jank.

Great for

Tomb Raider fans and nostalgic players who enjoy exploration, platforming and puzzles and can tolerate jank

Main risk

Broken box physics, crashes or launch failures on modern PCs, plus a fighting camera and unreliable ledge grabs

What players love

Graphics and Lara still look great

Mentioned in ~1 in 3 positive reviews

“The graphical improvements over Legend and Anniversary are noticeable; even today, I still think the game looks gorgeous and the Lara Croft model holds up very well.”
