The verdict

A unique blend of tabletop-style deckbuilding, great narration and Arkham-style combat, with lots of content. Skip it if you hate heavy RNG, grindy unlocks or repetitive, clunky fights.

Great for

Fans of D&D-style storytelling, roguelite deckbuilding and the first Hand of Fate who can tolerate luck-driven runs

Main risk

Heavy RNG minigames and repetitive, clunky combat can ruin long runs and make replays tedious

What players complain about

Weak, repetitive and clunky combat

Mentioned in ~3 in 5 negative reviews

“Combat is too repetitive and boring. Once you learn the dodge and parry timings (60 minutes tops) it stagnates very quickly.”
