A gorgeous, faithful remake of a J-horror classic with superb atmosphere and story, but reworked souls-like combat and heavy backtracking divide players. Skip it if you want the original's tight combat.
Great for
Fans of slow-burn J-horror who value atmosphere, sound design and a tragic story over tight combat
Main risk
Tanky, repetitive combat and lots of backtracking can turn the horror into a tedious slog
