A huge, gorgeous, emotional JRPG with excellent combat and music, but padded with mandatory minigames, open-world bloat and a rough PC port. Skip it if you hate filler.
Great for
FF7 fans who love characters and story and will skip or tolerate side content and tweak PC settings
Main risk
Mandatory minigames and bloated open-world filler wear you out before the story ends

Recent negative reviews mostly cite minigame fatigue and bloat, plus ongoing stutters, crashes and a few bug reports after patches (icon bug, startup fatal errors). Cause isn't clear-cut.
