A masterpiece-level cinematic story about Joel and Ellie with gorgeous visuals, but the PC port still has crashes and stutter, and the gameplay loop is repetitive. Skip it if you want deep gameplay or a stable port.
Great for
Story-driven players who want an emotional, cinematic post-apocalyptic journey
Main risk
Crashes, freezes and stutter on PC can ruin the experience

Steam's numbers show 95% positive in the last 30 days against 85% overall. Recent praise centers on story and characters, and several say it runs well, but this is from numbers, not one clear patch.
