A historically important but very dated 2001 open-world game in a patched, playable remaster. Skip it if you dislike clunky driving, brutal missions and fragile cars, or expect a real remake.
Great for
Nostalgic fans and series completionists who accept old-school jank and buy on sale
Main risk
Dated, frustrating missions and aggressive AI, plus remaster visuals and bugs that lose the original's feel
